A short walk was all it took to find a very meaningful image. The outcome of my walk this Wednesday was uplifting. I hope it will be the same for those who read my posts, and that’s why I’m sharing how God can speak to us tenderly amid life’s horrors—because, after all, we know all too well that life isn’t all that beautiful, but it isn’t all that ugly either. Without a doubt, this image meant a great deal to me—so much so that I couldn’t choose any other title when I saw it: Blooming Amid the Rubble.

Since you've already read my reflection from two days ago, you'll now understand why a wildflower—a tiny dandelion I saw on my walk—has been chosen as the focal point of everything I saw while walking.

Yes, there she stood, tall and straight, on her slender, fragile stem, holding her distinctive white balloon with tiny little flowers and seeds ready to fly away when the wind is right and the breeze blows to carry the hope of life to another place—that’s what I thought when I saw this little warrior flower growing among the bricks left behind as rubble.

You can find something good even in the bad, just as I reflected recently—two days after my previous post. This little flower conveyed a huge message to me, especially now that we Venezuelans are grieving this tragedy. Its example of resilience and strength is perfect for these times.

Yes, I admire its ability to flourish anywhere—in cracks in the concrete, in barren places where despair reigns, or among these abandoned bricks, neglected by humans but cared for by God. This little dandelion flower is a symbol of strength.

Una corta caminata bastó para encontrar una imagen de mucho valor. El resultado de mi paseo de este miércoles fue edificante. Espero que también lo sea para quienes me leen y por eso les comparto como Dios nos puede hablar con ternura en medio de los horrores de la vida, porque definitivamente, estamos más que claros que la vida no es tan bella pero tampoco es tan fea. Sin duda, que esta imagen para mí tuvo mucho significado, tanto así que no podía elegir otro título cuando la vi: Floreciendo entre los escombros.

Como ya leíste mi reflexión de hace dos días ahora si entenderás porque una flor silvestre, una pequeña flor de Diente de león que vi en mi paseo ha sido la elegida como la protagonista de todo lo que vi mientras caminaba.

Si, ella estaba allí erguida, sobre su delgado y frágil tallo, sosteniendo su característico globo blanco con diminutas florecitas y semillitas listas para volar cuando haga buen viento y la brisa le sople para llevar esperanza de vida a otro lugar, todo eso pude pensar cuando vi esta pequeña flor guerrera que estaba entre uno de los ladrillos abandonados como escombros.

Entre lo malo se puede encontrar algo bueno, justo como reflexioné recientemente, hace dos días desde mi publicación anterior. Esta pequeña flor me transmitía un mensaje gigante, en estos momentos cuando los venezolanos estamos afligidos por la tragedia. Su ejemplo de resiliencia y fuerza es perfecto en este tiempo.

Si, yo admiro ver su capacidad para florecer en cualquier sitio, como grietas de cemento, en hay lugares áridos donde reina es la desesperanza para la vida o en entre estos ladrillos abandonados sin los cuidados de los humanos, pero si con los de Dios. Es pequeña flor de Diente de león representa un ejemplo de fortaleza.
