Not an ordinary Golden Hour here, but rather a typical African one.
At first I will show you two arty photos as the sun clears a stormy cloud and then we will track the sun on its way home.

Here the sun starts to drop out of the dark cloud!
And now the sun is in free fall with only a hazy cloud cover.

And here is the final greeting, as the sun says; "That's all folks".
Oh yes, it takes a long time to watch the sun's descent, especially as it's cold outside, but this beauty is definitely worth the discomfort.
The fine cloud cover also protects my camera lens from being damaged by the full glare of a clear sun.
A clear signal of the impending cold front tomorrow is the fact that cross winds ripped the clouds from solid into soft streaks of feathers today. More rain means more water in the dams which translates to bumper crops later in the year.
This simply means that our food is secured for another year. Water and food are things that many take for granted. But we really should be like protective tigers over these precious treasures. We should guard them and protect their health.
Isn't it the same with everything in our environment and eco-systems? We should be fighting for their longevity, for their cleanliness...as they sustain, feed and water us, our animals, crops and vegetation. May we be more aware of nature around us...
...the cycles of each day...the yearly changes that could bring about disaster...or bounty. It really is in all of our hands to protect our earth. Taking care of the smallest little creatures, the plants, soil, air, water, and large animals...
...so that we and our great-great grand-children can watch how the sunrises become sunsets for years to come!
