As in life, some days can be dark, and other days can be light.
In here you will see the drastic beauty of a dark day. I have some of the morning views at our home (5 shots), and then a bit later the views from a high spot of the ocean front (5 Shots).
I am trying to draw the parallels between a misty day and a misty mind. One can have a sleepless night, like I did last night and then the next day one suffers from lethargy and a confused mind. I know that however difficult the dark days are, the brighter days will return, and how would we appreciate the good if we cannot bear the bad? Note that I am not saying that the views in here are bad, as they are the messengers of rain and that is always a good thing. And so, you have both good and bad, as it is very much the same in life.
This was the view when I stepped out of the house this morning (2 shots).
So, I decided to go and have a look at our mountains (2 shots).
I have the habit of investigating things, and I knew that I would have to search for the kind of views that I wanted. A great thing here is that due to us living in a bay with a seafront, and surrounding mountains a bit inland, the winds can constantly deliver very interesting sights. The mountains are at the East, and the ocean is at the West, and the winds can rapidly change direction at any time.
A bit later we travelled to a high spot to get some views over the ocean.
As you can see there were some very angry clouds travelling towards the horizon.
A bit of a closer look at things above the foreshore buildings.
And here is a zoom shot of what things looked like at the beach.
The clouds were much heavier towards the left side of the bay.
And I loved the cloudy curls, as they looked very imposing.
There is not one of us, that has never had a bad day, and the same goes for a good day. The views in here perfectly explain the way that we have to go through life, and there is nothing that we can do about it as we just have to endure whatever the morrow brings. Of course, we always hope for the good things, but I think that the bad things are reminders of us having to cherish every good thing.
May we take each day calmly and with good hearts, so that when the bad news or bad experiences arrive, we can focus and work our way through each item as it comes without losing hope or taking things to heart. We can with strength and courage confront each day and remember that as we walk through the bad ones, the good ones are not far off. May we know the peace that keeps our hearts and minds and protects us through the dark valleys.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
