Not just an ordinary visit, but rather something special.
We waited until closing time, as too many people crowd the place and that makes photography difficult.
The Coffee Roasting Company is situated on the Lourensford Wine Estate, in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. The establishment also serves as a restaurant and they also have a take-away section. There are many other activities on the Wine Estate, such as another restaurant below the mountain and a food market that is open on weekends. There is also a huge wine tasting and wine cellar on the property. But for this post, I will concentrate on the Coffee Roasting Company.
These are the two entrances to the coffee shop.
I will tell you more about the coffee below in the post.
I loved the look of those two coffee roasting machines.
And here we have a range of imported coffee beans on sale from various countries.
Huge open bags of coffee beans are also available for clients that want to buy bigger quantities.
This is the coffee tasting room, and there are also meals and juicy cakes available from the kitchens.
It is now Winter here, and blankets are available for those that the weather gets to.
A nice warm fire keeps the area nice and cosy.
Now there outside, is the place where we always sit whenever we come here, and I have to tell you that this was the first time that I entered into the coffee building.
There are enough tables, and we normally sit at the bottom right-hand one.
Why? I will show you below.
Yep! I get many squirrels and other small wild animals here.
And the place is also a bird photographer's paradise.
But that is not all, as I have mentioned above. There are many other attractions also available on this Wine Estate. Too many for me to mention here, but you can see for yourself HERE
We are fortunate to have so many wine farms in the area, and each farm has something different going on. They call it the Winelands, and one can get lost among all of the beauty on the farms. Lourensford is the closest to where we live, and with the mad gas prices here we cannot often go further out to the other farms as much as we would like. I have already posted several of the farms here, but I am sure that you can see why Lourensford is one of my favorites. At times we also hold our charity meetings here, and there is nothing better than a hot mug of good quality coffee to make the time go by. As you will see in the Lourensford link, they have a great picture there of the food market that I was talking about higher up.
So do yourself a favor if you ever plan to visit South Africa, do not give this place a miss.
