Greetings to all, now I will show you two photos each of three interesting and beautiful bird species.
This is Part 2 of the "Come shooting with us" series and you can see Part 1 about beautiful landscapes Here.
We hitched a ride on a wagon with some gunslingers to get up on the high parts of the mountains (see Part1) and then I went shooting with my camera.
Come and see!
The first two photos are of the famous Malachite Sunbird (Nectarinia famosa) sitting on some Red Hot Poker flowers (Kniphofia spp.)
Here we had Mrs. Malachite Sunbird looking to see if it's safe to have a nectar drink with this weird animal and his camera around.
Then we had a juvenile "Fork-tailed Drongo" (Dicrurus adsimilis).
Finally on show was a "Cape Grassbird" (Sphenoeacus afer)
So all of these birds can also be found in the high places of the mountains. There were sounds of other birds, but I had to take what I could get as our time was limited.
Somehow I will make a plan to get back into that "verboten" area, as I heard talk that there are also a couple of African Fish Eagles and other types of raptors in the mountains.
