We are being visited by *Spinus* on September afternoons [Esp/Eng].

Hola a todos los fieles seguidores de esta maravillosa ¨Feathered FriendsCommunity¨:  Esta ha sido otra semana genial de avistamientos de aves, y hemos aprovechado al máximo para fotografiarlas para participar en este genial ¨Show-Me-A-Photo-Contest¨:  que me apasiona.

Hello to all the loyal followers of this wonderful "Feathered Friends Community": This has been another great week for bird sightings, and we’ve made the most of it by taking photos to participate in this fantastic "Show-Me-A-Photo-Contest"—one I’m truly passionate about.

Desde hace algunas semanas les vengo comentando que la proximidad de la primavera está cambiando el comportamiento de las aves, ya que desde que inició septiembre han estado llegando especies nuevas. Lo mejor de todo es que ¨especies¨ : que están siempre aún continúan visitándonos como cada día.

For a few weeks now, I have been mentioning that the approach of spring is changing bird behavior, as new species have been arriving since the start of September. Best of all, the species that are always around continue to visit us, just as they do every day.

Por lo confianzudos que son estos ¨ejemplares¨: no me sorprende que, aprovechando que las hierbas están un poco altas, coparon el jardín; al parecer, ellas se sienten más cómodas caminando en el césped cuando la superan; es como que quieren causar el factor sorpresa en sus presas.

Given how bold these "specimens" are, it doesn't surprise me that they’ve taken over the garden, taking advantage of the tall grass; apparently, they feel more comfortable walking on the lawn when the grass is taller than they are—it’s as if they want to catch their prey by surprise.

Desde los primeros días de septiembre se han instalado estas preciosas ¨aves:  en las copas de los árboles, especialmente en los de las moras; al parecer son consumidoras de este tipo de frutas. Otra cosa que noté es que las veces que nos visitan son días y tardes soleadas; al parecer es una especie a la que le encantan las altas temperaturas.

Since the beginning of September, these lovely birds  have taken up residence in the treetops—especially in the mulberry trees; it seems they feed on this type of fruit. Another thing I noticed is that they visit us on sunny days and afternoons; apparently, this is a species that loves high temperatures.

Esta es una ¨especie: muy inquieta; hay que ser rápidos para poder fotografiarlas. Por suerte, pude captar algunas preciosas con nuestra ¨camara¨ : Es curioso cómo, cuando los días son templados, las aves llegan de todas partes para permitirnos disfrutar de su belleza.

This is a very restless species; you have to be quick to photograph them. Luckily, I managed to capture some beautiful shots with our camera. It is interesting how, on mild days, birds arrive from everywhere, allowing us to enjoy their beauty.
