But first let me show you a storm cloud sunrise!
The first 3 pictures were taken early this morning, as the sun started to peep over the rim of the mountains.Yesterday we were almost swamped by rain and overnight intermittent rain continued to lash the roof.
By 04am things started to quiet down and although it was wet when I went outside, the rain had stopped. Over here at least and I cannot speak for other areas of the Cape province.
Let's have a look.
The sun rays forced their way through the clouds!
The wind chased the storm clouds over the mountains and here the early cold day has started!
Now look carefully! Do you see the small moon speck in the clouds?
Straight up above the middle tree, almost in the center of the picture.
Here's a bit of a closer look!
And an even closer look!
Finally, there she is in all of her glory, hanging in the cold winter sky!
I know a few will ask, I used my Canon Powershot SX60 HD on the Ultra Zoom.
I love the very early ice-cold winter days, especially whenever there are clouds speeding across the skies. The winds are fierce, but my infected ear is covered by one of those fake fur hats with flaps that close under my chin.
I would love to have one of those real hats that the Arctic explorers wear, but they are not available in South Africa. So in the meantime this hat "made in China" has to do the job and thankfully it was cheap.
Hope you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity.
