Eating his nuts, he was watching the hunter!
Now what would a cat, a squirrel and and a crow have to do with each other?
Normally these animals are far removed from each other and they have nothing in common. But here at our house in South Africa it is a totally different situation.
Allow me to share an amazing story with you here in pictures!
This is young Noel. He tells everyone in the animal kingdom that he is an expert hunter, trained by the feral FBI and CIA, but in reality I have never seen him catch anything!
Ever seen a squirrel jump onto a human being for food?
Have a look how Marian feeds squirry here in the video.
Squirry decided for safety sake to watch Noel from a lofty position!
Noel decided that he would show everyone his hunting abilities!
Here the fun started, as Noel was climbing, squirry was on the under side of the same branch.
And here squirry popped out to wiggle Noel's tail!
Mr. Crow was watching the hunt and he let out a howl of laughter at Noel's predicament.
Squirry led Noel up high in the tree, into the thin branches. Noel could go no further!
Then squirry simply jumped across to another tree and hung upside down to tease Noel.
Poor Noel took a long time slinking down the tree and he crossed the yard.
Bur Mr. Crow decided that he has had enough of this cat and he came down on the roof.
Finally, Mr. Crow flipped down onto the garden wall (circled in yellow) and poor Noel beat a hasty retreat!
By now some of you know that due to the crows nesting here, they regard the place as their own territory. Squirry was born here and she and her husband also regard the territory as their own.
Poor young Noel landed in the middle of this, as his owner is a resident here in the complex.

Then of course we also have the nesting pair of Egyptian geese that don't like Noel and Noel has no hope of catching the Robins and their youngster that also live here. Methinks that poor Noel is slowly becoming the laughing stock of the animal residents here.
