One of my favorite birds on show here in nature.

Marian complains many times, as when I hear the Malachite's call, I follow him all over and unfortunately I can stay away for hours.

But in my defense I say, now who wouldn't follow a bird of this beauty and repute. A single call with a sharp note that immediately raises my ears and I push my plate back on the table, rise and say excuse me for a moment. Then I disappear with my camera and maybe I shouldn't say for a moment anymore, maybe I must say, excuse me for a while hahaha.
Come and look.

Look carefully and you will see the bird here on a pincushion flower.

Lovely metallic colors that blend perfectly into nature.
It is a male Malachite Sunbird (Nectarinia famosa)

A photo that would serve perfectly as a label on any bottled product.

He became restless and I knew that we were going to take a walk.

Then it was into a tree about a mile away, but I followed and got him.
Cleaning and preening after his feed on the flowers.

And finally a stretch before he took off to go and visit his girlfriend.

Oh yes, nature is also filled with other beauties such as this Painted Lady butterfly and flowers.

So I thank you for coming along to follow the Malachite with me this morning and I hope that the crisp mountain air also cleaned your lungs.
Next time I will take you along to see some other beauty and I can guarantee that you will not be dissapointed.
For now I say farewell and may the sun rise on your road.

And That's All Friends.
