Yes, we have the odd dry day here lately and I decided to go and get some landscapes.
Just an unplanned drive through our area and we ended up at the sea for some coffee.
We love to take these drives, as the views change constantly and there is always much beauty on show. Depending of course on how one looks at things, but I find that the clouds can change any scene on any given day. I didn't want to stop at only one place for a range of photos like I sometimes do, but I rather wanted to take some random photos on our drive.
Not a far drive, but rather just a slow cruise.
Come along on the drive.
The moon was also anxious to get in on the show :)
We traveled through some hills and dales, and it was beautiful out there.
And then we stopped at a restaurant on the beach road for coffee and I went out on the canopy deck to take some pictures of the ocean.
The clouds turned it into a magnificent skyline.
Later at home, the advancing rain clouds started gathering again.
And finally, tell me if you can also see that doggy in the sky?
Things are as they should be in life, and it holds many lessons for us, as we struggle along. Nature can be calm and nature can go into violent outbursts. During these outbursts, the animals simply go and hide until it's all over and then they emerge again to carry on with their lives. We see so many people losing their nerve or facing the outbursts in their lives with anger and at times with violence, only to rue the consequences afterwards. Normally when it's too late, and then they have to live with the regrets.
We are all in fact peaceful beings that only seek acceptance and friendship. But pride and self-aggrandizement are the flies in the ointment, as they force us to look down on others. Nothing like this exists in nature, but the law in nature of eat and be eaten seems to have transferred as a lesson into our human lives. It need not be so, as there is a purpose in nature for this law, it is simply to keep the eco-system intact. There is not such a purpose in our lives, as we are supposed to be beings of love, and real love for the self and for others, is a powerful glue that can keep us all together.
