It is not what they call a "cook stove," but it still does the trick!
Just to practice for a massive power outage, and to get creative and save some money, we've been trying to cook on top of our wood stove that I finally got in. It's been running great to heat our house for weeks now, and now we're even using it for cooking. A number of the Little-Peppers and even Mama-Pepper has heated up and cooked some stuff on top of it so far. Have you ever cooked food this way? We're new at it, but we like it.
