This was really good timing.
I was up early once again to get ready to leave for work, and I noticed something that looked like a stick where I hadn't previously noticed a stick before. Sure enough, it was a young Black Rat Snake. First off, it was excellent to find one on our land not eating any of our eggs or quail, so that was a bonus. Moreover, to find one right before I left for work was also a benefit. We drive past a lot of uninhabited acreage during our work travels, so this one has been blessed with a new home, far, far away.
Pinky-Pepper was up early and helping again, so she came and helped with bagging up this snake too, just like a couple of days ago. Anyway, here's some new photos of a different snake getting ready for relocation, just like the other one a couple of days ago.
