Yesterday I spent the weekend with my friends at the beach. Not far from Medan, the beach is in the Perbaungan area, Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra. Approximately 2 hours can get here by car.
The route to the beach is quite beautiful, because it passes through the housing of residents who still open a lot of agricultural land.
The entrance fee is also quite cheap. One car cost us 40,000 rupiah. Arriving at the beach, the sound of crashing waves was immediately heard.
We arrived at the beach in the afternoon, it was like a picnic we brought some food and snacks to eat on the beach. We rented a mat from a local shop that offers mat rental services.
Once there we immediately prepared the food we brought and prepared the grill that had been brought before. We grilled chicken for our menu.
Pematang Matik Beach is one of the beaches that is still used as a source of livelihood. Many fishermen still look for fish in the sea. If you are interested, besides swimming, we can also look for shells on the beach, if you are lucky you can get a lot and can be processed by yourself or with the help of shop owners with additional cooking services that are still affordable.
It wasn't too crowded when we arrived, many people were spending their weekend sitting on the beach and there were also children swimming on the beach. Some were looking for shells.
It wasn't too hot either, so it was very comfortable sitting under the trees by the beach. The breeze and the sound of the waves were quite soothing.
Unfortunately, even though it was late, we didn't get any sunset moments. The position of the sun was not visible from the shore. We went home when the sky was getting dark and the water was also starting to rise. This vacation was very enjoyable and meaningful.
Thank you for reading, friends. See you in other stories...
