Greetings everyone
How are you dear friends? Thank you Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay. Depok Beach is about 28 kilometers south of Yogyakarta. And it is located on the south coast. The Southern coast of Java is famous for it's big waves.
My family and I wanted to see the beach in the afternoon. Depok Beach is one of the tourist destinations in the Bantul area of Yogyakarta. It takes about 30 minutes to travel by car from Yogyakarta.
After entering the gate of the Depok Beach area, parked towards the beach. The parking lot was still quite busy with vehicles from both local and out of town visitors. My son,daughter-in law and grandson along with me, walked towards the beach.
We were greeted by a welcome to Depok Beach with a fishing boat monument complete with rowing equipment and a man preparing fishing gear. The tide is currently low, and the distance between the short and the water is quite far, allowing visitors to freely play on the beach.
Because this is a south coast beach and the waves are quite large, swimming is prohibited. If there are any, the usually play on the water at the edge. My grandson was also playing on the sand and was photographer, his Joy evident on his face.
Whose heart wouldn't be at peace enjoying the sunset, turning into night. Even though the setting sun isn't directly over the sea? Visitors are also treated to a natural spectacle. The sound of waves lapping and carrying sea air with a hint of salt.
An afternoon stroll along Depok Beach ended with dinner at beach, featuring fresh fish caught by fishermen. Besides the main seafood menu, we also ordered crispy fried squid, and fried Tempeh.
It was getting dark just as the owner of the grilled fish stall was about to close. See you next time. Thank you.
