Hi bloggers and food lovers, I hope you’re having a great day! It’s been raining a lot here lately, so I don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen so I just prefer quick and simple recipes. Today I’m going to share a sweet snack that’s easy to make: chocolate-coated sandwich cookies filled with sugar cream. It's my first time to make this chocolate sandwich and my little brother loves this chocolate sandwich cookies.
Ingredients:
- 10 cookies
- 75 grams of compound chocolate
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 75 ml water
- 1/2 sheet of gelatin
- cold water and ice cubes
Instructions:
- Prepare the gelatin and soak it in cold water and ice cubes for about 20 minutes
- Once softened, squeeze out the excess water from the gelatin and set it aside
- Add the sugar to a saucepan
- Add the water
- Turn on the heat and cook the sugar and water mixture over low heat
- Dissolve the sugar in the water until fully combined and the mixture comes to a boil like this
- Turn off the heat and add the softened gelatin to the still-hot sugar and water mixture
- Stir until well combined
- Transfer the sugar-gelatin mixture to a bowl and beat while still hot
- Beat until it becomes fluffy and turns white
- Arrange the cookies on a plate, then spread the sugar cream on top of the cookies
Top with another cookie
Repeat the same process for the remaining cookies
- Melt the compound chocolate and oil over boiling water.
Once melted and slightly cooled, dip the sandwich cookies into the mixture
Once all the cookies are coated with chocolate, let the chocolate sandwich cookies cool and place them in the chiller to allow the chocolate to set more firmly
- The chocolate sandwich cookies are ready to eat
