There are so many ways to live life and enjoy it that it is impossible to list them all. For some people, enjoyment comes from success at work or school; for others, it is having a happy family and a warm home; for some others, it is traveling the world and experiencing new places and cultures. Whatever your way of enjoying life, the most important thing is that you find your own happiness, and live it your way.

I myself have had problems to enjoy life more and I have received a lot of criticism regarding my way of enjoying it. In spite of that I have learned several things to make the most of my free time and feel more fulfilled, and here I want to tell you some of the things that I do that personally make me happier and that could be of help to you:

  1. I do what I like: although it may seem obvious, many people do not do what they really like. It may be because of fear of failure, because they don't dare to leave their comfort zone or simply because they don't know what really motivates them. If you want to enjoy life, do what you like, no matter what others think or say.

  2. I take advantage of my talents: we all have special talents or abilities, but many times we don't use them because we think they are useless. If you find an activity that you are excellent at and it makes you feel good, make the most of it. It doesn't matter if it is not something "traditional" or "normal", the important thing is that it makes you happy and makes you feel fulfilled.

  3. Live in the present: many people spend most of their time thinking about the past or the future, but forget about the present. The present is the only moment in which we really exist, so make the most of every second. Stop worrying about what happened or what is going to happen, and focus your energy on the present. Live in the here and now.

  4. I enjoy the little things: the big things are important, but it's the little things that really make our life interesting and enjoyable. Appreciate the details, look at the stars, feel the breeze on your face... It is easy to focus on the negative things in life, but if you learn to see the positive side of everything, you will realize that there is so much to enjoy.

  5. I exercise: exercising regularly has countless benefits for our physical and mental health. In addition to helping us stay in shape and prevent disease, it also helps us reduce stress and improve our self-esteem. So if you want to enjoy life to the fullest, take a good daily walk or join a gym; you'll see how much better you feel almost immediately.

  6. I always learn something new: Did you know that learning new things makes us feel younger and more vital? Learning a new language, a musical instrument or a sport are just a few examples; but you can really learn anything that catches your attention. All you need is motivation and interest; the rest will come on its own!

  7. I get out of my comfort zone: when we always do the same thing year after year we feel safe but also bored. If you want to give your life a boost and increase your level of happiness, go out from time to time and try new things even if it's something quiet. Dare to do that thing you always wanted to do but never dared because of fear and experiment with something completely different.
