This monument to Diego Armando Maradona is located across from the Argentine Football Association’s sports complex in the city of Ezeiza. Despite my admiration for the star Lionel Messi, I still believe that, in terms of soccer, Diego Armando Maradona is the greatest of all time, regardless of the statistics.

Este monumento a Diego Armando Maradona se encuentra frente al predio deportivo de la asociación del fútbol Argentino que tiene en la ciudad de Ezeiza. Dice a mi admiración por el crack Lionel Messi, sigo pensando que futbolísticamente Diego Armando Maradona es el mejor de todos los tiempos, más allá de las estadísticas.



The title of my post is about combining passions, and it has to do with running. On Saturday, I rode my bike for almost 100 km, and on Sunday, my partner had to run a long-distance race—and guess what? It was just 21 km, a half-marathon, no more, no less. Without fear of success, I accepted the invitation and, of course, after negotiating the pace—which was in Zone 2—I set out to explore another of my passions... Running

El título de mi publicación habla de fusionar las pasiones y tiene que ver con el running. El día sábado realicé casi 100 km de bicicleta y el domingo mi compañera de vida tenía que hacer un fondo y saben qué, tan solo 21 km, media maratón ni más ni menos. Sin miedo al éxito acepté la invitación y por supuesto negociando el ritmo, que fue en zona 2, salí a revisar otra de mis pasiones... Correr.

Ese fue un dato muy alentador de que la primavera está a la vuelta de la esquina.


Of course, I stopped by to say hello to the emblem of my beloved soccer club, River Plate. They also have a facility in the city of Ezeiza, and it’s a must to stop by and pay my respects. Because even though it’s a crest made of some sheet metal and glue, behind those colors and symbols lies the history of many players who gave their all in training to achieve results that have gone down in the history of the

Por supuesto hice un parate y pasé a saludar la insignia de mi amado club de fútbol River plate. También tienen un predio en la ciudad de ezeiza y es menester quedarse y saludar. Porque pese que es una insignia construida con algo de chapa y algún pegamento, detrás de esos colores y símbolos se encuentra la historia de muchos jugadores que entregaron todo a través de los entrenamientos para obtener resultados que quedaron plasmados en la historia del fútbol Argentino.


We keep training and burning through our energy. Zuni is preparing for the Andes crossing, and I’m there to support him and also participate in some cycling events here.

Seguimos entrenando y gastando vida. Zuni preparando el cruce de los Andes y en lo particular acompañándolo y también participando de algunos eventos de ciclismo acá en la zona.

Finally, later in the afternoon, I was enjoying some delicious mate while savoring one of the most significant innovations in my family’s culinary traditions: the Paraguayan chipa. These days, they’re making them stuffed—something that hadn’t been done in a long time—and this time, Zuni stuffed it with quince paste. My goodness, what a delicious fusion! Paired with bitter mate, it’s a perfect match.

Por último y ya por la tarde disfrutando de unos ricos mates con una de las actualizaciones más trascendentales en lo que hace las artes culinarias de mi casa. La chipa paraguaya, hoy en día lo están haciendo rellenas. Eso no ocurría hace tiempo y en esta ocasión Zuni lo rellenó con dulce de membrillo. Por Dios Qué rica fusión y con mates amargo, juega en primera.
