Hoy quiero traerles el recuento de un evento que nos llen贸 de pura adrenalina el s谩bado pasado: la competencia h铆brida de Calistenia + Gym que se celebr贸 en Zona Box Puerto Cabello. Fue una iniciativa espectacular que realmente buscaba subir la vara, promoviendo la calistenia, s铆, pero llev谩ndola al siguiente nivel al combinarla con ejercicios de peso. La idea era simple pero desafiante: sacar el m谩ximo potencial de cada atleta, probando tanto su dominio del peso corporal como su fuerza bruta con pesas. La atm贸sfera desde antes de empezar ya era electrizante.
Today I want to bring you the account of an event that filled us with pure adrenaline last Saturday: the Calisthenics + Gym hybrid competition that was held in Zona Box Puerto Cabello. It was a spectacular initiative that really sought to raise the rod, promoting calisthenics, yes, but taking it to the next level by combining it with weight exercises. The idea was simple but challenging: to get the most out of each athlete, testing both his mastery of body weight and his brute strength with weights. The atmosphere was already electrifying before we started.
Mi primera impresi贸n al llegar a las instalaciones de Zona Box fue incre铆ble. Sinceramente, nunca hab铆a estado all铆, y ese gimnasio me pareci贸 espectacular, con un dise帽o y un ambiente que te invitan a entrenar al m谩ximo. A medida que fueron llegando los atletas y los jueces, la energ铆a en el lugar se hizo palpable; se sent铆a esa mezcla de nerviosismo y concentraci贸n que precede a una gran competencia. Poco a poco, todo se fue organizando a la perfecci贸n: las pesas se colocaron estrat茅gicamente, se delimitaron los espacios para cada disciplina y la m煤sica comenz贸 a sonar con el beatperfecto para motivarnos.
My first impression when I arrived at the Zona Box facilities was incredible. Honestly, I had never been there, and I found that gym spectacular, with a design and an atmosphere that invite you to train to the fullest. As the athletes and judges arrived, the energy in the place became palpable; you could feel that mixture of nervousness and concentration that precedes a great competition. Little by little, everything was organized to perfection: the weights were strategically placed, the spaces for each discipline were delimited and the music began to sound with the beatperfect to motivate us.
En cuanto a m铆, tuve el honor y el reto de ser el animador del evento. Confieso que sent铆a un nudo de nervios en el est贸mago al principio, pero una vez que agarr茅 el micr贸fono y vi la pasi贸n en los ojos de los competidores y el p煤blico, simplemente me dej茅 llevar. Di absolutamente todo para inyectarles 谩nimo y mantener esa energ铆a alta durante toda la jornada. Fue una experiencia s煤per enriquecedora, tanto por el nivel de los atletas como por el incre铆ble setup del gimnasio. 隆Pronto les traer茅 m谩s detalles sobre c贸mo se desarroll贸 la competencia en s铆!
As for me, I had the honor and challenge of being the animator of the event. I confess that I felt a knot of nerves in my stomach at first, but once I grabbed the microphone and saw the passion in the eyes of the competitors and the audience, I just let myself go. I gave absolutely everything to inject them encouragement and keep that energy high throughout the day. It was a super enriching experience, both for the level of the athletes and for the incredible setup of the gym. Soon I will bring you more details about how the competition itself developed!
