隆Qu茅 onda, comunidad de Hive!
What's up, Hive community! How nice to be back here. I tell you that, after a vacation where I literally disconnected from everything to recharge my batteries, today it was finally time to shake off laziness and resume the routine. I went to Casa Verde, here in San Diego, and it really couldn't have been a better choice. The atmosphere there is something else; being surrounded by so many trees and that intense green gives you a super different vibe to that of an enclosed gym. It is one of those places that restart your system and give you that extra "push" of motivation that one needs so much when it comes from being in total rest mode. Honestly, training with that pure air is pure quality of life.
For this first day of reintegration, I decided not to go crazy and go to the safe: the basics of calisthenics. I didn't want to force the machine with a single blow, so I gave a good round to the bottoms, pull-ups and push-ups. Although they seem simple exercises, after a few days of stop, you can clearly feel how the body is awakening muscle by muscle. I focused a lot on the technique and on feeling each repetition, more than on the quantity. It's amazing how calisthenics makes you connect again with your own weight; I felt a little heavy at first, but little by little the rhythm was returning and the muscle congestion reminded me why I love this sport.
隆Nos vemos en las barras, familia!
At the end of the day, the reflection is clear: resting is vital and the body appreciates it very much to avoid injuries or mental exhaustion, but being completely neglected is a trap. Losing that condition that has cost us so hard to build gives a little pain, but the important thing is to have the discipline to return to the ring without excuses. I feel refreshed and clear-minded to continue hitting the bars hard here in San Diego. Thank you for reading and for the usual support; I hope this motivates more than one to resume their goals if they took a break. See you at the bars, family!
