In my locality the offer of themed places to enjoy a unique coffee drinking experience is quite limited. Most of the establishments are bars and nightclubs that lack the quiet and special atmosphere necessary to truly appreciate this beverage. Fortunately, in the vicinity of my workplace there is a place where I regularly go to enjoy a good cup of coffee. Although my frequency of visits has decreased due to price fluctuations and the constant presence of inflation, this place is always at the top of my list of options to enjoy this experience.
This space in its beginnings, served as a stage dedicated to the exhibition of works by artists and artisans in my city; however, it has evolved into a more diverse entity. Currently within the gallery itself is a coffee shop which represents an added attraction especially for those of us who face limited options in the city. Unfortunately the viability of the place is threatened by the deteriorating economic situation characterized by uncontrolled inflation and product shortages. This adverse economic phenomenon also leads to exorbitant price increases, significantly transforming the value of products. What used to cost 20 Cuban pesos has now risen to 80. Despite these challenges, I believe that the administration is working tirelessly to keep this welcoming space afloat, seeking solutions and strategies to counteract the negative effects of the current economic situation.
My experience on this occasion was positive. The service provided was exceptionally friendly and efficient contributing significantly to my satisfaction. The establishment is characterized by its quiet and clean environment providing a space conducive to clear the mind while enjoying a delicious coffee from the mountainous region recognized for being the source of the best coffee in my locality. However, during my enjoyment of the coffee I could not help but reflect on the initiative in which I participated in this group. Questions arose about the viability of investing in a country that is going through a deep crisis with no obvious solutions in sight. This thought added an additional layer to my experience, generating an internal dialogue about the relevance of getting involved in projects in challenging contexts.
