I defeated a front entrance guard after missing a stealthy balcony route, then sneaked inside to eliminate two soldiers and secured an ivory brooch. Presenting the item gained me entry to the inner chambers, where Basim offered the rare hairpin to the Treasurer, forcing her guards out and setting up an assassination.
Now that I knew about the brooch, I had to obtain one from the guild to gain an audience with the treasurer. And for that, I spotted a location, marking the heavily guarded structure nestled deep within the crowded market.
Reaching the spot, I noticed a man was trying to get inside, but the guard at the entrance stopped him. And while I was thinking of getting inside quietly, the guard decided to fight me, so I had to take him down.
Yeah, this was the balcony that I was supposed to use to infiltrate the area without raising suspicion of the guard at the entrance. The open archway sat just out of view above the courtyard, offering a completely clear path for a stealthy approach, though I didn't have to use it.
Being getting inside, I had to be super sneaky. After finding an ivory brooch being guarded by a soldier, while another soldier walked to the other side.
I air assassinated the soldier guarding the brooch close-by, and then I assassinated the other one before taking the brooch for myself. I executed both targets in rapid succession before any alarms could be raised.
Now that I got the brooch, I went back to the Treasurer's quarters entrance, and after showing the brooch, the guard let me in this time. He stepped aside slowly, opened the door to grant me access to the restricted corridor ahead.
After getting inside, another guard came to take me to the Treasurer, but on my way, I stopped to check around the place.
Then I found a guard going inside, after asked me to wait, and from there, I saw the Treasurer refusing a man's offer. The tense negotiation played out right in front of the inner curtain, revealing her strict nature.
It was Basim's time to get to the Treasurer to show what he had to offer. After getting inside, when Basim was asked what he brought for the Treasurer, he replied, the Treasurer knows what he brought, keeping his tone entirely calm and mysterious to maintain the upper hand.
Basim wished to get closer, but the heavy guard stopped him. So Basim showed the hairpin that the Treasurer had long desired.
The Treasurer then asked her guards to leave the room as she wished to talk to Basim alone. The heavily armored defenders walked out of the chamber, leaving us completely uninterrupted.
Then the Treasurer started talking about part of her life, about how she was born, she was grown up, and it looked like Basim was ready to use his hidden blade to end the Treasurers life, slowly shifting his wrist position under his sleeve to prepare for the final strike.
