I've been doing the @freewritehouse job of Encouragement on Tuesdays and was lucky this week to be responding to entries for the Monday prompt "awry". Every single one of the entries was fabulous! I enjoyed each of them, which were mostly funny and all excellent. Go check them all out! I'm sure you can find a favorite among them.
When I read that yesterday's prompt was "suffocate", I immediately thought of Friday's @freewritehouse encourager, and how difficult those entries were going to be for that person to read. Looks like
@iamjadeline gets the honor. The first few I read were terrifying! "Oh how is she going to do it?" I thought. Thankfully, a few of them are uplifting and
@wonderwop's is downright funny, so it won't be quite as depressing as I had feared.
As for suffocation, I remember one time I felt like I was suffocating in a general life kind of way. It was awful. I don't wish that on anyone, but know a great many people go through the same. Last week the humid heat felt a tiny bit suffocating, and a quick skootch back into the AC of my house fixed that up lickety split. I am very lucky in a great many respects.
So good luck @iamjadeline! I don't envy you!
This is my freewrite for @mariannewest's freewrite challenge https://steempeak.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-643-5-minute-freewrite-thursday-prompt-suffocate
The image is mine. I've been goofing around with taking photographs, and I find looking at pavement soothing. This shot is both soothing and restive to me, apropos of the prompt.
Thanks for reading!
