These animals are called 'man of war' or 'floating terror'. They are found floating in the Atlantic, because their bladders are filled with gas. The rest stays under the surface. Their tentacles give a painful sting and can be fatal to humans.
Normally they cannot be found in the coastline but because of the storm loads of them were washed ashore.
