I can't even imagine how it sounds in those first 15 min of an hour when it's "allowed" to make noise and everyone wants to use it to the fullest... 馃槀 Maybe next year you could wear those "headphones" for workers with heavy and loud machinery...

Everything I hear or read about Turkmenistan always feels truly epic鈥攊n both good ways and bad, and these photographs remind me that it鈥檚 one of the places in the world that piques my curiosity the most. Once again, I see everything looking very clean, elegant, and empty, yet always imbued with architectural grandeur鈥攁nd, in a sense, a very recent history, as I know that many of the structures in Turkmenistan date back to the 1980s and 90s. I鈥檓 glad you were able to visit this country; I鈥檒l be keeping a close eye on your blog to see more.

This contribution isn鈥檛 just a small contribution to the community, it鈥檚 a huge one. My intention was to move away from the topic of stories for a bit and, once again, broaden the range of what we publish, particularly with your own photographs of the town鈥檚 decorations or the crafts you鈥檝e made, and I absolutely love what you鈥檝e brought along today. Each character is fantastic; I鈥檒l tell you that my favourite is the scarecrow, I reckon it鈥檚 hiding something in those pumpkins, and the skeletal witches are really charming too. The decorations and souvenirs are brilliant, and I鈥檇 like to thank you for such an original contribution.

Walking through the city鈥檚 streets and coming across this piece by the artist Marcos Aldavez is truly impressive. You鈥檝e shown us many murals, but this one is incredible; I鈥檓 increasingly amazed by the quantity and quality of art in the city and, in this case, by the wonderful tribute paid to Remedios Rosas as a female soldier.
I love the details throughout the mural, but especially the look of excitement in her eyes, they鈥檙e so bright. Thank you for bringing us so many beautiful things, so much art of such high quality.
