As @laputis and I practiced playing our organ duets, one of the pieces was a sonata by Bronius Kutavicius called "Ad Patres". Kutavicius is one of the most famous living older generation Lithuanian composers and this piece actually is one of the most beloved organ compositions in the entire Lithuanian organ repertoire. It was however originally first written as an organ duet and only later transcribed for organ solo. I was supposed to play it this August at Notre Dame cathedral in Paris but because of the fire all organ recitals have been on hold there. Solo organ version of this piece is much more demanding than the original organ duet version and
@laputis asked me, "aren't you glad that Notre Dame had burned down?"
