Saturday morning, I woke up feeling good and ready to start my day but immediately I walked out of my room, 'a son of my father' decided to interrupt my morning routine with a special announcement
"Go get dressed we're going out in a few minutes".
We rarely go out but when we do, it's nothing short of fun, I was excited as I immediately turned around and went to take my bath.
We left the house and ordered an Uber to pick us up, the ride was a beautiful one as the Uber driver was very kind and quiet and he looked like a friend but I didn't say it out loud (okay, I kinda checked him out a little 🙃 but was too shy to get his contact or say anything), we spent over an hour and thirty minutes on the road courtesy of Lagos traffic, when we finally got to the island I realized we were there because of a suit, a SUIT????
I didn't have enough time to get angry before I felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen, I was totally uncomfortable, the visitor that arrives without an invitation was around (my nightmare 🤦), I expected it and was prepared but I didn't feel any pain whatsoever before leaving the house, I was super happy as I've been waiting for a day like this where the visitor would visit without pains.
My brother and his wife were there to change a suit she got for him as a birthday gift a few days ago, it was a surprise gift but unfortunately, the suit was a bit bigger than him so we had to change it, his birthday was on Thursday last week and the week was full of activities, not exactly the activities I expected but there sure was loads of stress, from buying makeup products, doing her makeup, then off to the tailor's shop, dry cleaner's shop, going to the photo studio to take pictures, going on a couple's date and lots more.
The week was just busy, plus, the power holding company refused to let we the residents enjoy electricity. Back to the topic at hand, I went around looking for snacks to buy so I could take my drugs, I didn't take half of snacks before feeling like throwing up, I gave the snacks to the couple and they didn't waste time to devour it 😅, we were meant to go to a fancy restaurant and later go for a minor shopping but with the state I was in, there was no way that was happening (and I blame the visitor 😤), I was angry and disappointed at myself but there was no way I could help it, if I had known the visitor would be so merciless, I would have allowed them go alone, not only did I manage to ruin their day, I ruined mine too.
We stopped at the market to get a few household items and on the way out of the market, I met a friend I knew in Port Harcourt (Rivers state), I was so sad that I couldn't stop to get her contact especially as I don't have any friend here in Lagos.
A random photo I took at Third mainland bridge.
