Greetings Steemians!
I have been here a little over a week experimenting and trying to understand Steemit. I think I've got it ... maybe. Bear with me. I'm learning and trying out all kinds of things.
At first, I don't think I'll be sharing much about myself on Steemit, except for my photography. However, I'll share one thing with you now. I have a condition called synesthesia. Hearing and vision overlap for me. I wouldn't exactly say I "see" sounds, but there is a visual quality to sounds (music is spectacular). Not sure how else to describe it. To a lesser extent, the reverse sensation is also true -- I "hear" things I see.
Few people know about my synesthesia. I rarely talk about it because people usually think I am crazy or seeking attention. I mention it here because many of the photographs I produce are influenced by the condition. Specifically, I am drawn to textures and repeating patterns which often have an audible quality to me. Shadows fascinate me also.

Often, my posts may seem a little bizarre. I have a dry sense of humour. It's fun when people get the humour. It's also amusing when they don't.
Oh, and about the bots ... I will be using bots and vote-buying services early on. I know many people feel passionately that these services degrade the quality of Steemit. I get it. Definitely, I have mixed feelings about these services. Hang in there. I am experimenting and I must admit that these services are fun. I simply need to experience this shady part of Steemit to fully understand it. Don't be too annoyed with me. I plan to stop using them in the foreseeable future.
