When I was young, I really loved writing, like keeping a diary, a journal or anything where I could express myself without judgment from other people. I was afraid of being judged, laughed at, or scolded. And I dont want my happiness to be interrupted by these things.
As I grew up, I realized more and more that I was happy writing. I even asked my father to buy me a notebook with a padlock. Writing was like my coping mechanism when I was sad, angry, and disappointed. It was also my best friend on the days when I was happy. I also loved essay writing activities, and I joined the school newspaper club where I was assigned to write about special school events, such as field trips, foundation day, family day, etc.
When I entered college, the course I took was Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. I actually wanted to become a journalist, but because this was the available course at the university near us, I decided to take it. I liked English, but I was more confident in written activities than speaking activities.
After two years, I did not finish the course I took because I got pregnant with my boyfriend at that time, who is now my husband. Years passed, and I became busy being a mother. I also worked in sales at malls until after eight years, I gave birth to twins. They are my youngest children.
Since I could not work far, I looked for a worked from home job and was fortunate to become an ESL teacher. I enjoyed teaching English online to children from different countries.
I am also following an ESL teachers' page, where I read Ma'am Antonette's post about writing blogs. Suddenly, I went back to the time when I loved writing. So I immediately sent her a message and became interested. Then, I am onboarded by @antonette and
@chinito.
I am thankful to them because they guide me on how to start. This is a big help for me. They are very hands-on in guiding me. From the do's and don'ts, such as I should be true to myself, plagiarism is not allowed in Hive and do not use AI-generated words in expressing my thoughts, which is actually favorable to me because when I started loving writing, there was no AI yet.
So I know I can do this. And I know I will enjoy this because this was my passion before. Writing became my companion whenever I had something I wanted to express that I could not tell other people.
I once loved writing, and I know that it never really disappeared. I just had other priorities, but my desire to write will always come back.
Actually, my eldest child, who is 15 years old, seems to have inherited it from me because he also loves writing and has won in competitions.
Even though my dream of becoming a writer was not fulfilled, I know that I will keep coming back to this field of writing. So, starting today, I will be free once again to express and share my thoughts and feelings through this writing blog.

That is all. I hope my introductory post can be an inspiration.
