Whenever we visit my father's province, I am used to taking the Antipolo-Teresa-Tanay route. I actually enjoy passing through the zigzag road from Antipolo to Teresa, so during the last trip with my brother, I was surprised when we passed through Cogeo.

I kept wondering why are we taking that road. It feels like were going farther. I was even waiting for the familiar zigzag road, but it turned out we were taking a different route.

But then, I was amazed by the mountain views along the way. The scenery was so beautiful, or maybe the reason why the trip felt longer was because my phone kept losing its signal unlike the route I usually take there were parts of this road where I couldn't get any signal at all.

I was already a bit annoyed because I had no signal, and then we stopped along the way. But when I saw the place where we stopped, my irritation quickly disappeared. It was Dean & DeLuca...

If you're planning a road trip to Tanay Rizal, along Marilaque Highway, this is a nice place to visit, especially if you love coffee dates with a mountain view.

The ambiance is beautiful and the overlooking view is just amazing. Its a perfect spot for a coffee date or a quick stop to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Aside from their premium coffee, they also serve other food choices, including pastries. The food is beautifully presented, too. The only downside is the price. You might spend around ₱500–₱1000 per person depending on what you order.

As for us, one coffee was all we could afford. 😂 But thats okay because the view itself was already worth it. Sometimes, you don't need to order a lot to enjoy a beautiful place.

What started as a usual trip home turned into a memorable road trip experience. Now I know there's more to enjoy along the road to Tanay than just the destination.
