Hello everyone! Today, I want to share the second part of our beautiful day in Istanbul. After spending time in Üsküdar, we decided to visit Çengelköy. It is one of my favorite places on the Asian side of Istanbul. The weather was warm and sunny, and we were very happy to be outside.

Herkese merhaba!

When people think of Üsküdar, they usually think of the famous Maiden’s Tower. Of course, it is a beautiful place. But I think Çengelköy is also a place everyone should visit. It has lovely streets, small shops, old buildings, cafés, and a wonderful view of the Bosphorus.

We walked through the streets and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere. I saw a beautiful flower shop and took some photos. I love these little details in Istanbul. Sometimes, even a small street or a colorful shop can make me smile. Autumn was also showing its beautiful colors in the trees.

After walking for a while, we went to the famous Tarihi Çınaraltı Tea Garden. This is one of the best-known places in Çengelköy. There is a very large and old plane tree there. People believe the tree is around 800 years old, although its exact age is not known. Can you imagine how many people have sat under this tree over the years?

The tea garden has been a meeting place for many years. People come here with their families and friends to drink tea or coffee and enjoy long conversations. I think this is one of the most beautiful parts of Istanbul. Some places are special not because they are expensive or modern, but because they have history and beautiful memories.

And then came my favorite moment of the day: sunset! We were lucky because we arrived at just the right time. The sun was slowly going down behind the Bosphorus Bridge. The sky turned orange and gold. The sea was shining under the evening light. It was such a beautiful view.

We sat near the sea and enjoyed our coffee while watching the sunset. Boats were passing on the water, people were walking along the coast, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the lovely evening. I took many photos because I wanted to remember this moment. But I also tried to put my phone down and simply enjoy the view.

Sometimes, I wish I could do this every day. I would love to sit by the Bosphorus, drink my coffee, and watch the sunset after a busy day. But I live a little far from the sea, so I cannot come here whenever I want. Usually, I visit these places when a friend comes to Istanbul or when I have some free time.

Bazen keşke bunu her gün yapabilsem diyorum. Bu yüzden istediğim her an buraya gelemiyorum.

Maybe that is why these moments feel even more special to me. We do not always need big plans to have a beautiful day. Sometimes, a simple walk, a cup of coffee, a good friend, and a lovely sunset are more than enough.

I feel thankful for this lovely day. Istanbul can be crowded, busy, and sometimes tiring. But it also has so many beautiful places that make you forget everything for a while. Çengelköy is definitely one of them.

If you ever visit Istanbul, please don’t leave without seeing Çengelköy. Walk along the coast, visit the old plane tree, have a cup of tea or coffee, and if possible, stay until sunset. I think you will love it.

Bir gün İstanbul’a gelirseniz Çengelköy’ü görmeden ayrılmayın.
