Saturday ☀️ 10042

A mild, relaxed morning around 11 degrees, with no wind, on a day when the whole city was especially quiet due to the German Unity Day holiday. So today, instead of taking my usual Saturday walk around Mierendorff Island, I hopped on my bike and cycled leisurely to Jungfernheide. There, I took a long morning walk, partly using interval walking, of course, and watched and photographed our feathered friends along the island’s shore, while also filling my lungs deeply with the fresh, moist air and clearing my head. At the forest high ropes course, I also found a huge parasol mushroom, and I watched and listened to the comings and goings of a flock of pigeons in the trees. I then spent the rest of the day, which remained mild, relaxing on my brand-new terrace in my treehouse.

Ein milder, entspannter Morgen um die 11 Grad, ohne Wind, an einem extra Tag Stadtweiter Ruhe wegen des Feiertags zur deutschen Einheit. Daher bin ich heute nicht die samstägliche Mierendorffinselrunde gegangen, sondern aufs Rad gestiegen und in aller Ruhe zur Jungfernheide geradelt. Dort habe ich dann einen ausgedehnten Morningwalk, natürlich teilweise im Intervall-Walking, gemacht und am Ufer der Insel unsere gefiederten Freunde beobachtet und fotografiert und selbstverständlich auch die Lungen tief mit der frischen, feuchten Luft gefüllt und den Kopf freigemacht. Im Waldhochseilgarten fand ich dazu noch einen riesigen Parasolpilz, und zudem habe ich dort noch dem Treiben eines Schwarms Tauben in den Bäumen zugesehen und zugehört. Den Rest des weiterhin milden Tages genoss ich dann entspannt auf meiner frischen neuen Terrasse in meinem Baumhaus.
