Wendy loved the music of her favorite singers. She enjoyed listening to their songs at all hours of the day. If she was cleaning the house, her music was playing; if she was at work, it was playing there too. Basically, any time she was feeling down, she was listening to her favorite singers. If she left her headphones at home, she'd turn around no matter how far away she was, because otherwise, she'd miss her fix that day. She was in the business of buying and selling large quantities of merchandise and was the boss of the company. She had assistants for everything, so she could afford to spend the day listening to music or making time to go to as many concerts as she could. She lived music to the fullest.

Over time, the singers she followed and loved so much left the stage. Some retired due to health reasons, others due to old age, and others because they could no longer continue. This frustrated her greatly because there were no new songs from them anymore. So, she became obsessed with the old songs she had of theirs. She began to develop into a collector fan with a particular fondness for the first pressing of each of those artists' albums. She wanted a physical memento of them, and she considered their first records the most special. That's why she started spending a lot of money to buy the first pressing of each album—millions of dollars, and in the best-case scenario, thousands. She could afford it because she had sufficient profits from her company, but her spending was so high that she even had to lay off staff to keep up with her purchases.

She began visiting fans around the world who owned first editions of their records. Some didn't want to sell, but she offered them large sums of money, so they couldn't resist. In some cases, she had to lose money just to buy a record, since some people, knowing her obsession, inflated the price beyond what the record was worth. Despite the losses, she kept buying. Over time, she managed to acquire almost every first edition album by all her favorite singers. It was a monumental task, but when she looked at her wall covered in their records, she felt wonderful. The expense didn't bother her at all. Each record was worth its weight in gold. She acquired the last few records with great difficulty because she had to go into debt due to their high value.

But even though her company was nearly bankrupt and she owed a lot, she had managed to get all the records. Now she could finally die happy and in peace. But that joy wouldn't last long. Among all her favorite singers, there was one who was the most special, the one she loved the most. She had already managed to buy all his records, but something was missing, something so special that it would be the biggest surprise on earth. The singer's family contacted her, knowing she bought everything at a high price. They told her they had a unique record by the singer, one that had never been released or heard before. It was the singer's last work before he died and his most prized possession, one that had never seen the light of day. Imagine her shock; it was overwhelming.

She immediately asked the price, and as expected, it was so expensive that even selling the company wouldn't cover it. She was informed that the sale was for a limited time, so they couldn't wait; it would be first come, first served. This sparked a frenzy to get the record before anyone else. Since she didn't have the money, she borrowed from her friends, but they couldn't lend her that much, and the bank wouldn't give her anything given the amount and the company's financial situation. So, she had no choice but to push the company to its limits and sell everything that wasn't essential. She sold her large house, half of the company, and worked day and night with the remaining portion. The employees worked long shifts, and she had to manage everything to get more money quickly. Her biggest fear was that they would sell the record to someone else. But it was so expensive that almost no one dared to buy it.

But by working so hard, adding up the loans she managed to get, and selling half of her business, she was able to get the money and buy the record. Now she had the crown jewel and was overjoyed. But now that she had the album, a problem arose. She had spent millions on it and would be in debt for years. But was it worth keeping the album just for herself or sharing it for free with everyone else? The question gnawed at her for a long time. After much thought, she told herself that the singer would have wanted it to be heard and that she couldn't take that wish away from him. So she shared the music of the album with the world, for free. But she gained peace of mind, happiness for having completed her collection, which was what mattered, and above all, having shared the legacy of her favorite singer—and that was truly the crown jewel of her collection.
