I'm sure everyone has done this before with their friends whereby they dedicate a particular day entirely to gaming and throughout that day we all have fun and there is always a healthy competition going on but sometimes we do take it personal and we voice out our anger but fight never happens though.
Apart from a birthday celebration, and going to gatherings with friends, i do not think there is something more special than gathering of close friends to play games. over here it is mostly football games because everyone is actually good at it. today was filled with joy and excitement and most especially some friendly bants to make friends give in their best.
We actually planned for today to be the game day and this was done by picking a particular date whereby we didn't have anything to do and even though we had something, it was something we could postpone to the next day. we didn't make big preparations though because all we needed was just a laptop which we had already, and game pads and we are just enough in the room to make up a competition.
This was the arrival of one of our friends who doesn't stay with us but he was good at hyping everyone up and also good at the game but he wasn't the best though. as he came in, we did our welcoming rituals which is just greetings and telling each other how long we have seen each other and the memories we have shared together.
This was when we left our hostel to look for where to get game pad because our gamepad all of a sudden stopped working and we had no choice but to go out to buy a new one.
The game finally started, and the computer paired us which was the right thing to do and the real fun started and the atmosphere changed because no one wanted to be on the losing side. i saw everyone making their tactical formations with their team which they picked and there was a lot of trash talking going on during the game and even after a pair had ended their game, the trash talking kept going on.
There were a lot of outrageous scorelines that i had no option but to keep laughing because that is all i could do.
Everyone was truly getting hyped up so in the evening we all went down to a close by friend house to attach our laptop to a television to make it bigger and because some of our friends are already giving excuses.
At the end of the day, we came to an end and i realized how it is important to have days where you do not have to do anything but have fun with friends because that's the best way of strengthening friendships and these are memories that will remain and you will also cherish after y'all are old or separated from each other.
Gamedays are just more than fun time, they serve as a way or relieving from stress and a way of reinfocing our friendship.
