My last visit to the Krakow Botanical Garden was in September and since then I haven't visited it even once, but there was a lot going on in nature! Autumn has come, autumn has passed, we experienced a severe winter in Krakow, and now, with the arrival of the calendar winter, there are no traces of winter left and while walking around the botanical garden today, you may wonder whether it is late autumn or early spring. Early spring flowers are also a bit of a mistake, as primroses, crocuses and snowdrops are starting to emerge from the ground. I don't predict a very bright future for them, because it's not even January yet, so snow will definitely fall again. What can you see at this time of year in the Botanical Garden? Nothing is blooming, there are no leaves on the trees, but we have a large group of various ornamental grasses that dry up after the season and take the form of beautiful plumes, so there was no boredom.

Moja ostatnia wizyta w Krakowskim Ogrodzie Botanicznym była jeszcze we wrześniu i od tego czasu ani razu tam nie zajrzałem, a przecież w przyrodzie duzo się działo! Przyszła jesień, minełoa jezień, przezyliśmy w Krakowie atak ostrej zimy, a teraz wraz z nastaniem kalendarzowej zimy nie ma po zimie już żadnych śladów i spacerując dzisiaj po ogrodzie botanicznym można zastanawiać się czy mamy późną jesień, czy wczesną wiosnę. Wczesno wiosenne kwiatki też się trochę pomyliły, bo pierwiosnki krokusy i przebiśniegi zaczynają wybijać się spod ziemi. Nie wróże im zbyt kolorowej przyszłości, bo przecież nie mamy jeszcze nawet stycznia, wiec śnieg znów na pewno spadnie. Co można oglądać o tej porze roku w Ogrodzie Botanicznym? Nic nie kwitnie, liści nie ma na drzewach, ale za to mamy całą wielką grupę różnych traw ozdobnych, które po sezonie zasuszają się i przybierają formę przepięknych pióropuszy, wiec nudów nie było.
