Been in a bit of a posting slump lately. Hopefully I can break out of it with this blog from a trip a couple months ago. Dillon Falls is a section of white water on the Deschutes River in Central Oregon. It is not a classical vertical drop water fall but it does have some raw power as it makes its descent. So join me for a quick visual tour of Benham Falls.
The Calm water meets the beginning of the falls.
The event horizon as the water begins its plunge over the edge.
The beginning of the tumult.
Not sure if the sound of the video below does justice to the actual roar of the water. by @oldmans
As the water continues it descent it begins to make a 90 degree turn.
The area that might be considered actual vertical drop waterfall.
An interesting rock formation.
About to go up for a little better view.
The tumultuous water from above.
A last look back...
And then the river continuse its journey down stream.
