The beer universe conspires in mysterious ways that sometimes we fail to understand or we are not prepared to do so...
That's how for this #BEERSATURDAY I had to cross the city of Caracas to find this great Venezuelan Pale Ale.
I wake up early and mentally prepare myself to go out to the east of the city taking into account that the streets are going to be a little more chaotic than usual because tomorrow being Father's Day, people go out at the last minute to get a gift for the date or to take advantage of seasonal offers on something.
The weather is an accomplice to this task and gives us a radiant sun with a tropical 23 degrees Celsius that everywhere screams "hurry up and buy the beers!" So after an almost chaotic journey through the city, I was able to reach the right place: the liquor store! One of the most luxurious and specialized in the Capital, with sales consultants and more!
I must confess that I enjoyed asking " do you have craft beer ?"
El universo cervecero conspira de formas misteriosas que a veces no logramos comprender o no estamos preparados para hacerlo...
Es así como para este #BEERSATURDAY he tenido que cruzar la ciudad de Caracas para dar con esta genial cerveza venezolana del estilo Pale Ale.
Despierto temprano y me preparo mentalmente para salir hacia el este de la ciudad tomando en cuenta que las calles van a estar un poco más caóticas de lo normal ya que al ser mañana el Día del padre, la gente sale a ultima hora a conseguir algún regalo para la fecha o para aprovechar ofertas de temporadas en algo.
El clima es cómplice para esta tarea y nos regala un radiante sol con unos 23 grados centígrados tropicales que por todos lados grita “apúrate a comprar las cervezas!” Así que luego de un trayecto casi caótico de ciudad , he podido llegar al sitio indicado: la tienda de licores! Una de las más lujosas y especializadas de la Capital, con asesores de ventas y de más!
Debo confesar que me gustó preguntar "Tienen cerveza artesanal ?"
My intention was to buy just a couple of beers but it's hard to decide on a specific one... I've already made a market for the next beersaturday.
On the way home the city seemed to be different: the train was at the station waiting for me and when I got to the surface the public transport was fast, with no queues and a quite pleasant afternoon breeze... Once again the beer universe is happy and conspires in favor of those of us who adopt craft beers and good quality beers.
It's time to put these beauties in cold storage and tell you about today's guest:
Vulgara Brewery's Pale Ale.
Mi intención era comprar solo un par de cervezas pero es difícil decidirse por una en específico… ya he hecho un mercado para próximos beersaturday.
De regreso a casa la ciudad parecía ser otra : el tren estaba en la estación esperándome y al salir a la superficie el transporte público fue rápido, sin colas y con una brisa de la tarde bastante agradable… Nuevamente el universo cervecero se alegra y conspira a favor de quienes adoptamos cervezas artesanales y de buena calidad.
Es momento de colocar en buen resguardo en frío a estas bellezas y comentarles acerca de la invitada de hoy:
La Pale Ale de la cervecería Vulgara.
This brewery brings us only one style in its catalog, the Pale Ale, but offers them in different presentations (0.222 ml bottle, 0.625ml bottle, and 325ml can), which gives them a plus and good marketing.
Their slogan is "It's more than a Pale Ale" and it's great that they defend their creation with so much pride and affection, also defending the organic and less automated process in the elaboration of beers declaring "Less automation and more dedication".
Esta cervecería nos trae un solo estilo en su catálogo, la pale Ale, pero nos las ofrece en diferentes presentaciones ( botella 222 ml, botella 620 ml y lata de 355 ml) , cuestión que le da un plus y un buen marketing.
Ellos tienen como slogan "Es más que una Pale Ale" y es genial que defiendan a su creación con tanto orgullo y cariño, llegando también a defender el proceso orgánico y menos automatizado en la elaboración de cervezas declarando "Menos automatización y más dedicación".
My history with them comes from a couple of years ago when I was able to meet their team at a craft brewery event, they really are people with excellent energy and desire to help promote Venezuelan craft beer. I honestly loved their beer! It's great to try beers that, even if they are made in the same style, have their own character and personality!
Mi historia con ellos viene desde hace un par de años en los cuales pude coincidir con su equipo en un evento de cervecerías artesanales, realmente son unas personas con excelente energía y ganas de ayudar a impulsar la cerveza artesanal venezolana. Sinceramente su cerveza me encantó! Es genial probar cervezas que, aunque estén realizadas sobre el mismo estilo, tienen su propio carácter y personalidad !
This Pale Ale has a smooth, sweet, and pleasant character, it is one of those beers that do not tire your palate and you can drink several of them without fear.
Dark golden in appearance, the Vulgara Pale Ale has a beautiful medium retention foam that adorns it, its aroma is soft with faint sweet, caramel notes, and its bitterness is medium to low.
Its bitterness is medium to low and is of the type that carbonates naturally with sugar or dextrose giving a more passionate character to each sip.
Esta Pale Ale tiene un carácter suave, dulce y agradable , es de esas cervezas que no te cansan el paladar y puedes tomar varias de ellas sin temor.
De apariencia dorada oscura, la Pale Ale de Vulgara tiene una hermosa espuma de retención media que la engalana, su aroma es suave con tenues notas dulces , acarameladas.
Su amargor es medio a bajo y es del equipo que carbonatan naturalmente con azúcar o dextrosa dándole un carácter más pasional a cada trago.
