High school was fun for real, my classmates were annoying but I must confess that I miss those ugly classmates of mine 😂, I never thought I'd miss the time we spent together, sometimes I remember some act with them and I smile.
During my high school days I was studious because I had very strict parents who always checks up on you in school, making sure you were abiding by school rules and doing all that's required of you, parents been strict won't stop the boy from having fun, my team of friends were good when it comes to academics but they had a touch of been notorious.
My team of friends and I were involved in a lot of things that lead us to the principal's office and some of which almost got us expelled, but we beg to be pardoned and when are given another chance we just blow it as always, everyday I thank God we did not run out of chances cause my parents would have disowned me by now.
There is river miles away from school where we normally go to swim tho it was against school rules but we couldn't help, instead we made visiting the river to swim a routine, on several occasions the security man would come and Chase us and we still come back the following day, this continued untill one Wednesday evening when we went to the river after games, on reaching the river we saw a student floating, we helped the boy out tried all we could and this time ran to call the security man ourselves.
The boy was rushed to the hospital and our names were written down, we were actually accused of been the ones that made the boy drown. The boy was unconscious for sometime before he finally woke up, in order to clear our names we were taken to the hospital where the boy was admitted, he was asked if we were at the river with him before he drowned and he said "no, he does not even know us".
We were punished severely, we cut the grasses, fetched water for the staffs, we were the ones to darken the board until a white board was made available. After the punishments I never went to the river again until I left school.
If not for the boy who said the truth, I wonder how it would have been??
