Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Over the years there has been a debate about whether freedom to explore is better than having a job that keeps you tied down but provides just enough earnings but not enough time to actually enjoy those earnings. This is a debate that leaves people with different opinions and different perspectives. There are those who think freedom is better than having wealth without freedom; there are also people who think it is better to be wealthy and not have the freedom or time to do other things they love and enjoy. When it comes to delicate topics like this one, I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion and what they think works for them.

Freedom in this case is having the time to do other things; these can be things you love and enjoy or just the time to just engage in other activities that do not relate to work or earning. There are individuals who are involved in a job or business that takes all of their time away; from January to December, they are busy with their work or business. There are people whose work or business has cut them off from the rest of the world; all they do is work, there is no time for family hangouts, and there is no time to hang out with friends. Most family members even forget they exist because of how absent they are.

They are never present in family gatherings because of their work; for them to be present physically in any gathering, it has to be super important, and even if they are there physically, they are not present mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually because they keep checking their phones and are absent-minded because of work; they are thinking about work while just there to fulfill all righteousness. These types of people are always there for family financially but are never there emotionally, physically, or in any other aspect.

Most of the time we make the mistake of thinking to run a family or belong to a family; we just need to be there financially, and nothing else matters as long as we are there financially, but that is very wrong. The mindset of just being there financially has ruined many families and even friendships. That mindset caused a lot of relationships and friendships to come crashing down. To keep any friendship or relationship warm, we need more than just finances. As much as finances are vital, there are other vital things to consider.

As much as you need the wealth (finances), you need to strike a balance so you can enjoy the wealth, spend time with family and friends, be available when needed, warm every relationship and friendship, and show that you are also interested in keeping it alive because one thing that destroys friendships and relationships is when it feels one-sided. One person invests all the energy, and then you keep making excuses with work, and it is only a matter of time before they stop, and then that becomes the end of everything.
