A few weeks ago, @brittandjosie ,
@seadbeady and I are discussing skin care products. At that time, I think they are both curious on the beevenom/ propolis products that I use on my face. But before going there, I just want to discuss the snail filtrate because I am sure a lot of people are curious on what this is all about.
Snail filtrate is derived from this:

I remember when I was younger that people in my place had been discussing snail masks. But because it was a new thing and, I was just a kid in college then, I did not have the money or any resources to try that out. I am glad I did not do that because, this is how they do it back then:

I know that I do a lot of weird things sometimes. This is simply not one of them- even in my hard limit list!
According to en wikipedia:
The slimy, thick excretion elicited by the snails' agitation, also known as Cornu aspersum glycoconjugates, is mostly used in the production of cosmetics. It boasts hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, glycoprotein enzymes, proteoglycans, antimicrobials, and copper peptides.[10] This provides hydrating, anti-oxidizing, and recovering properties when topically applied to give a glowing, youthful complexion. The snail mucin has been famed for wound healing and the improvement of wrinkles and fine lines.
I still do not go into the spa to get my snail filtrate treatment but, I do use this regularly.
There are many brands available that produces snail filtrate but, I love using Korean brands. Call me K pop addict but, most of the cosmetics and skin care products that I use in the Philippines was Korean ones so, I guess its a tradition.
The product looks like this- transparent. It is odorless and its easy to apply.
I love blending this in with my other products because, its simply so easy to use. I cannot get enough of this
I want to include in this post that I do not back up any unrealistic claims like looking younger after x number of uses. For me, using this as a part of my skin care routine is a part of self care ritual to me. I understand that I am aging and no matter what I do, I am on the process of aging. So I want to take care of me and age gracefully.
Stressing more on skin care rather than make ups over the years allowed me to confidently get out of the house with sun screen and moisturizers most of the days. I know I did not expect me to thank myself now when I was younger but, I am really grateful seeing the results now.
