As I have mentioned in my last blog, I did decided to make some clay porcelain from scratch. Unfortunately, due to the weather( it was always raining and very cold), the rest of the stuff developed molds.
Anyway, here are the "test pieces."
I could say that I am happy on how things turned out. The first piece is actually the first one I made from the batch. I did not mix anything with it( no colors) and I painted this with nail polish.
I was expecting this to crack or crumble but it held on to it for a very long time.
Even the crack behind this piece( on the tail), did not split/ expand.
Anyway, I do have a very ambivalent decision on this. While I love working with this medium( it cured really hard- harder than a polymer clay). I would probably even use this for my business someday but yeah, I need to really be very careful.
