Hey friends! How are you all? I hope you are all doing well.
I am back again with another DIY project. As I mentioned in my previous post my daughter really loves making DIY crafts. The first time she actually asked me herself if she could make something with clay and share it with all of you.
When I shared her first DIY with you all you gave her so much love and encouragement. You appreciated her work and encouraged her so much. This gave her even more motivation and confidence to make new things.
Because of your love and encouragement she became even more interested in crafting. So today she asked me again if she could make a clay fridge magnet decoration and share it with you all. So I thought I would share the whole process with you and show you how she made it.
First she chose a light pink color for the background. She took the clay and rolled it out nicely until it became flat and smooth. Then she gave it a round shape. This round piece became the base of the fridge magnet.
After making the round base she started decorating the sides. She made many small clay balls and placed them around the edges of the round base. She attached them one by one so they looked like a small decorative wall around the sides.
Since she is still a child some of the small balls are a little different in size. Some are smaller and some are bigger. But I think that makes it even more special because she made it herself. If you are making this at home you can make all the balls the same size and place them neatly around the edges.
After finishing the border she started making the flowers. She chose pink and yellow colors for the flowers because she really loves colorful things.
To make a yellow flower she took a small piece of yellow clay and rolled it into a small ball. Then she pressed it a little to make it flat. After that she made small cuts in it using a knife.
Once the cuts were made she gently shaped the clay with her fingers to give it the shape of a flower. She carefully shaped the petals from the outside and also gave a little shape to the center of the flower.
She made the pink flowers in the same way. You can use any colors you like for your flowers. You can make them all the same color or use different colors to make the fridge magnet more colorful.
After making the flowers she started working on the stems. For the stems she used green clay. She took small pieces of green clay and rolled them into long thin shapes. She made them look like little branches or flower stems.
Then she placed the green stems on the pink round base and fixed them carefully. After that she placed the flowers on top of the green stems. Once the flowers were attached the whole design started looking much more beautiful.
She also added some small details to make the decoration look more colorful and attractive. You can also add your own little ideas to make your fridge magnet unique.
The best thing about this DIY is that you do not need many things to make it. You mainly need some clay in your favorite colors and a little glue if needed. You can also use a small knife or any suitable tool to make the flower shapes.
Once everything was finished she attached a small magnet to the back of the clay decoration. Then it was ready to be placed on the fridge.
She put it on the fridge herself and it looked really cute and colorful. She also took the pictures herself so you can see her little creation in the pictures.
This is a very simple and fun DIY project that you can make at home. You can also make it with your children and let them choose their own colors and designs. It is a nice way to spend some creative time together.
This was another small clay DIY that my daughter wanted to share with all of you.
I hope you all like her little fridge magnet. Your love and encouragement really mean a lot to her and motivate her to keep making new things.
