I know that I am old and I am not supposed to be playing with dolls. The thing is, I am using a play doug. aka its something that kids use to play with. There is no available colored air clay where I live and, I am so busy with my job I did not have any time to look up for more.
I have not yet looked at polymer clay because, I have the same excuse.
, it was really tricky and frustrating. Nothing sticks up together as they should. Its so hard to do any detail, everything is either falling off (which is why I used a lot of support) and, its not really for a long time thing. Still, I was able to make this and, I am really encouraged to use this more often if not because of the cost, the thought that I have limited space is very much encouraging.
I started with this:
Roll out a piece of clay dough
Trim.
Another play dough tool I got in the kid's section. I love the hearts patters. If you guys are curious, we are making the dress right now.
I would have loved to do more detail on the shoes but, I can't. I am really very upset with how the shoes turned out but, I'll get what I'll get. I am using a dough anyway. I need to remind me of that all the time.
To make the skirt, cut the "cloth" further.....
I detached the head from the body because, everything is falling off.
Another toy from the kid's section. Man, the toy makers are really making a lot of business from me and I do not even have kids of my own!
