This time, I geared up to clear the dungeon in the Strange Forest once and for all. I woke up early in the morning and immediately focused on gathering resources. First, I chopped some wood and then ran into the forest to retrieve crafting materials from a storage basket I had left behind. Once back at camp, I put those materials to work and crafted a brand new leather armor. Armed with my fresh gear and a couple of newly made torches to light up the dark corners, I finally stepped back into the cavern.

Right after entering, I headed straight to the northern sector of the cave. I wasn't alone there; I ran directly into a mole person. And no, despite their funny appearance, these creatures are far from friendly. After a brief fight, I put it down with my spear and kept moving. I ran into a couple of larvae and menacing shadows along the way, but they weren't a match for my current setup.

As I explored the remaining corners of the floor, the truth became clear: the cavern was completely empty. There was absolutely nothing of interest left inside. I had to head back to the surface empty-handed. But hey, even if this run felt like a massive waste of time, at least I got a sweet leather armor upgrade and a fully established camp to plan my next move.

En esta oportunidad me dispuse a prepararme para explorar por última vez la cueva del Bosque Extraño. Me desperté muy temprano por la mañana para recolectar madera y salí a buscar unos materiales de confección que había dejado guardados en una cesta en medio del bosque. De vuelta en el campamento, me puse manos a la obra y fabriqué una armadura de cuero. Con mi nueva protección equipada y un par de antorchas recién hechas para no andar a ciegas, procedí a entrar a la caverna.

Nada más entrar, me dirigí directamente a la zona norte de la cueva. Ahí me topé con una persona topo, y no, no son para nada seres amigables. Tras entablar combate y derrotarlo, seguí explorando lo que quedaba del mapa. Me salieron al encuentro un par de larvas y sombras amenazadoras, pero nada de qué preocuparse; equipado con mi lanza los despaché a todos sin mayores problemas.

Al terminar de revisar, me di cuenta de la triste realidad: la caverna está completamente vacía y no queda nada de interés en su interior. Me tocó volver a la superficie con las manos vacías. Pero bueno, aunque básicamente perdí el tiempo explorando esta última sección, al menos ahora tengo una armadura de cuero nueva y un campamento bastante bien equipado para planear mi siguiente movimiento.
