We're keeping the momentum going with The Wild Darkness! This return to the game is serious business, and I'm fully determined to finally complete a full run, something I've never actually managed to achieve before.

I picked up right where we left off in the Desolate Meadow, gathering apples to stock up on rations for later. After chopping down a few apple trees, I spotted a mysterious stone covered in ancient inscriptions standing in the middle of nowhere. I interacted with it and read a passage about a poison formula—my character automatically gained the recipe knowledge for a Poison Potion. I'm sure that will come in handy for weapon coating or brewing down the line.

After taking out a few giant rats that tried to block my path, I ran straight into a classic survival RPG bottleneck: my inventory was completely packed, leaving zero space for essential loot and resources. So, naturally, I chose the most "wise and prudent" solution available: randomly reading unidentified spell scrolls just to clear up bag slots. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, I triggered a scroll of Destruction—which turned out to be a massive understatement for the absolute chaos that followed. A apocalyptic rain of fire descended over the entire meadow, triggering massive explosions and setting everything ablaze. Trees burned to ash, brush went up in flames, and smaller creatures were instantly incinerated. The surviving wolves, leopards, and local wildlife panicked and turned hyper-aggressive, locking onto me immediately.

I spent the rest of the night battling through hostile mobs and burning fields. Right around sunrise, in the middle of combat and frantic exploration, I stumbled upon the local Ruins of Light. As many of you know, repairing these ancient ruins grants vital character progression bonuses and unlocks higher-tier crafting knowledge. Seeing the milestone, I decided to fall back to the Strange Forest to properly manage my inventory and plan a permanent base relocation to the Desolate Meadow so I can operate much more efficiently.

¡Seguimos con todo en The Wild Darkness! Este regreso al juego va completamente en serio y vengo decidido a por fin completar una partida de principio a fin, algo que jamás he logrado hacer.

Me encontraba en el Prado Desolado recolectando manzanas para asegurar raciones de comida para más adelante. Talé un par de manzanos y de pronto divisé una misteriosa piedra con escritos en medio de la nada. Al leerla, trataba sobre la fórmula de una toxina, por lo que mi personaje obtuvo automáticamente el conocimiento de la Poción de Veneno. Supongo que será bastante útil para envenenar armas o crear brebajes más adelante.

Luego de despachar a un par de ratas que se me atravesaron en el camino, me topé con el clásico problema de los RPG de supervivencia: me había quedado sin un solo espacio en el inventario para recoger recursos valiosos. Así que ejecuté la opción más "sabia y prudente" posible: usar pergaminos desconocidos a lo loco para liberar casillas. ¿Qué podría salir mal?

El detalle fue que activé un pergamino de "Destrucción", nombre que resulta ser un eufemismo para el caos absoluto que provocó. Una auténtica lluvia de fuego cayó sobre todo el prado entre explosiones y llamaradas, quemando árboles, maleza y calcinando animales pequeños al instante. Los pocos lobos, leopardos y fauna sobreviviente entraron en pánico y empezaron a atacarme en grupo.

Pasé el resto de la noche enfrentando bestias agresivas entre el humo y las llamas. Justo al amanecer, en medio de los combates y la exploración, descubrí las Ruinas de la Luz de esta zona. Como muchos sabrán, al reparar estas ruinas el personaje obtiene bonificaciones clave y conocimientos necesarios para progresar. Viendo el objetivo claro, decidí replegarme temporalmente al Bosque Extraño para organizar mi inventario y planificar el traslado de mi campamento base al Prado Desolado para operar con mayor facilidad.
