RE: Nerd By Northwest #328 โ โThe Cake Is A Lieโ
Naturally I rather enjoyed the D&D movie as well. I liked the fact the adventurers for the most part were not all-powerful badasses and actually had to really struggle and were pushed to their limits.

Zero sympathy for him. As Hunter S. Thompson said: "You buy the ticket... you take the ride". ๐

I think the original module referred to it as the "minor" treasure room. But to me, it was obviously a decoy treasure room. Honestly, either one sounded a little sophisticated for hill giants...

I don't imagine orcs are picky about what kind of meat they eat.... but even if they are, covering up the funky taste of hill giant is what the hot sauce is for. ๐

Only thing that would've made it better is if Golden Sphinx was rocking an 80's Pet Shop Boys haircut. ๐

These are hill giants (the inbred, fat hillbillies of the giant world) so you know they'd cook EVERYTHING in lard and that's the only cooking fat you'd find in their pantry. If any of them other than the

It goes by restaurant kitchen heirarchy! As the head chef (or chef de cuisine) Pickles gets the biggest share of XP, with Nolan and Wayen as deputy chefs (sous chefs) getting the 2nd biggest shares. The

Pickles has the basic ice cube system, with the Ray of Frost cantrip. Maybe one or two more levels, and Pickles can upgrade it to the advanced ice cube system using the Ice Storm spell. Though at that

Yeah I wanted it to resemble it a bit, but at the same time make it look less refined and more hodge-podge (hence the bits of tape on parts of her gun). It IS goblin tech after all... if Zorg's super gun

Heh... I totally forgot that happened to Shrek too until seeing your gif. At least he's got the advantage of tough ogre skin... in D&D terms, he's got extra Armor Class for the ass! ๐

I imagine it'd just taste like... water. And so I imagine the "purified" beer that Nolan peed in tastes like slightly-watered down beer. Unless he ate asparagus recently... but that's something

I've seen the 8-bit theater version, but the Crap Guide to D&D was a new one to me. Looks like I've got well over a dozen more similar videos to catch up on! ๐

IPA's are one of those things where I've had some I kinda liked, but more than half I've tried I either haven't cared for or I outright hated. Maybe it's the unconventional approach many American brewers

Petaluma, huh? I spent close to a month couch-surfing with a friend down there (close to Rohnert Park) back in the late 90's. Nice area overall, but there were two things that bothered me about the location.

Yes, you've just struck upon one of the reasons why I'm still living outside the US right now. Essentially, I'm seeing a growing intolerance for non-conformity on both sides of the political spectrum,

Actually... possibly yes. Garth the dwarf is a cleric and Naya is a druid, and one of them MIGHT have prepared the spell. Of course, both would've spent most of their spell slots fighting off the hill
