The next morning—it was already the seventh day—the studio was once again filled with excitement, since the ballad was finished, and after going over every detail one last time, the track was sent to Daniel’s computer. The four of them gathered around him to listen to it; no one spoke, and every second sounded perfect. So when the process was over, it was sent to the Apple Music team for review, and Michelle remarked, “Now all we can do is wait.”
The hours began to pass slowly. Some tried to distract themselves by tuning their instruments, others chatted about new projects, and Daniel kept checking his phone every few minutes. Finally, in the afternoon, a notification arrived that broke the silence in the studio—it was the response. The four of them gathered again, and Daniel began to read aloud: “The composition conveys great emotion and has potential. However, there’s a section of the ballad where the melody loses its strength, and we recommend that you revise that part and send a new version.”

Los cuatro volvieron a escuchar la balada desde el principio hasta el final y Daniel la envió por segunda vez. Mientras observaban la pantalla, ninguno sintió miedo, ya que habían entregado lo mejor de sí mismos y estaban muy cerca de cumplir el sueño de tener su segunda canción sonando oficialmente en Estados Unidos.
Everyone was surprised. Michelle looked down, as if disappointed; Richard set his guitar on a chair and sighed deeply; Lucas remained silent for a few seconds, but then looked up and said “They didn’t tell us the song was bad; they told us it could be better.” Daniel nodded and added, “If they made it this far, it’s because they believe in our work—they’re just asking us to make one last effort.” Despite that, they were already feeling tired, frustrated, and sleepy, but none of them took a step toward the door.
Michelle picked up her notebook again and began writing that new verse. Richard slung his guitar back over his shoulder, Lucas sat down at the piano and began playing a different melody, while Daniel listened to them and tried to encourage them. Ideas began to flow one after another, and by the time they finished recording the new version, it was already dawn.
The four of them listened to the ballad again from start to finish, and Daniel sent it off for the second time. As they watched the screen, none of them felt afraid, since they had given it their all and were very close to fulfilling their dream of having their second song officially played in the United States.
