Hello Shadow Hunters community, once again I’m posting in this community and doing so to take part in the ShadowHunters SMASh Contest, round 431.
Recently, while visiting Punta Hicacos, at the end of Varadero, I passed beneath a bridge that immediately caught my attention.
This bridge crosses over the road and allows the small carts that transport tourists to move safely between areas and reach the beach without interfering with vehicle traffic below.
As I approached, I noticed the shadow it projected onto the asphalt.
At first glance, it was simply a long dark line stretching across the road. It was not a complex shadow or one with intricate shapes, but there was something about it that made me stop and look.
Perhaps it was because we do not pass under a bridge like this every day.
Sometimes what makes a shadow interesting is not its form, but the story behind it. This bridge is part of the movement and activity that characterize one of Cuba's most famous tourist destinations, and its shadow is a silent reminder of its presence.
The contrast between the bright sunlight and the dark band crossing the road created a simple but striking image.
I decided to capture that moment and share it with this community.
And this is the shadow I bring today for the contest.

Hola comunidad Shadow Hunters, una vez más estoy publicando en esta comunidad y lo hago para participar en el ShadowHunters SMASh Contest, ronda 431.
Recientemente, mientras visitaba Punta Hicacos, al final de Varadero, pasé por debajo de un puente que llamó inmediatamente mi atención.
Este puente cruza sobre la carretera y permite el paso de los pequeños carritos que transportan a los turistas entre diferentes áreas y hacia la playa, sin interferir con el tráfico que circula por debajo.
Al acercarme, noté la sombra que proyectaba sobre el asfalto.
A simple vista era solo una larga línea oscura atravesando la carretera. No era una sombra compleja ni con formas elaboradas, pero había algo en ella que me hizo detenerme a observarla.
Quizás porque no todos los días pasamos por debajo de un puente como este.
A veces lo que hace interesante a una sombra no es su forma, sino la historia que hay detrás de ella. Este puente forma parte del movimiento y la actividad que caracterizan a uno de los destinos turísticos más conocidos de Cuba, y su sombra es un recordatorio silencioso de su presencia.
El contraste entre la intensa luz del sol y la franja oscura cruzando la vía creó una imagen sencilla pero llamativa.
Decidí capturar ese momento y compartirlo con esta comunidad.
Y esta es la sombra que traigo hoy para el concurso.
