Hello dear Holos & Lotus community,
Today I continue with The House Also Speaks, a series where the most ordinary details of a home become small reminders of our memories, emotions, and the experiences that shape us.

The Stain of Moisture That Changes Shape
There was a stain on the ceiling of my home that slowly began to grow.
At first, it was barely noticeable.
A small mark left behind by the rain.
Something we thought could wait.
After all, there were always other things to take care of.
Little by little, however, that stain became part of the room.
From my bed, I would sometimes look up at it and observe its shape.
One day it looked like a cloud.
Another day it seemed like an island on a strange map.
The imagination has a curious way of finding stories even in the simplest things.
That stain was no longer just a mark on the ceiling.
It had become something familiar.
Something that had been there for so long that we almost stopped seeing it.
With time, I understood that we can also become used to things that should not feel normal. Sometimes we adapt so much to an inconvenience that we stop asking why it is still there. Moisture reminds us that something may seem small from a distance, yet continue growing slowly while we wait for the right moment to deal with it.
Until another rainy day arrived and reminded us that it was still there.
That is the strange thing about some problems.
We learn to live with them.
We get used to their presence.
We walk around them.
We cover them.
We tell ourselves that maybe later will be a better time to fix them.
Sometimes, instead of repairing the source of the problem, we simply paint over the surface.
The wall looks better for a while.
The stain disappears.
But if the moisture remains, eventually it finds a way to return.
While looking at that ceiling, I thought about how similar people can be.
There are emotions we hide because we do not want to worry anyone.
There are sadnesses we keep quiet because we believe others already have enough problems.
There are wounds we cover with a smile, hoping that no one notices.
But feelings, like moisture, leave traces.
The heart also has its own way of showing us when something needs attention.
A tiredness that does not go away.
A silence that lasts too long.
A sadness that appears in unexpected moments.
Sometimes we believe that ignoring something means it no longer exists.
But what we do not heal does not simply disappear.
It waits.
Not to punish us, but to remind us that it needs care.
The house teaches us many things if we pay attention.
A crack in a wall.
A leaking roof.
A stain that grows slowly.
All of them are messages.
They tell us that something needs to be looked at before the damage becomes greater.
Perhaps our emotions deserve the same care.
Before the small cracks become deep wounds.
Before the hidden pain affects everything around us.
That is why I no longer see that stain only as a problem.
I see it as a reminder.
A reminder that everything requires attention: our homes, our bodies, and our hearts.
Because a wall can be repaired when we take care of the moisture in time.
And a heart can also heal when we finally allow light to enter.
Thank you for reading.
