Just like every other person, I sat down to set out diverse goals to achieve for the year, with hopes, plans, and a bold confidence that it's going to be a very busy year for me. In fact, I was even contemplating if I would be active here like I used to be but promised myself to find a way of squeezing out time to ensure I show up regardless.

To be sincere, some of my goals worked out, but not exactly how I envisioned them, but in all, I am very grateful, and even if I can't reach my expected goals this year, 2026 is yet another opportunity to keep pushing until I see the type of result I desire.

Starting from my offline business, which was my main goal in January, it took a drastic and terrible twist I never expected. I ensured to put a lot in place within November and December of last year so that once January of this year begins, I will kick off immediately. The year began, and a lot kept unfolding negatively; it was so depressing that I almost gave up. From one challenge to another, from one setback to another, from one protocol to another, from one denial to another, all these came with financial, physical, and emotional stress.

I can't count the number of times I was travelling to the mainland just to see my business work out. I call it travel because traffic from island to mainland will humble you, but I faced it week to week, month to month with so much stress. Honestly, I passed through a lot, all to see that my dream business turned into reality.

I wouldn't deny that in October, I finally started, but not with consistency. The staff I employed have been slowing down things on their own, not that the business itself is the problem. These guys practically are giving me lots of stress. I tried changing them, but then, the current workers I employed now are not in any way visibly better than the previous ones. I am not just lucky yet with good workers, but I am learning patience and searching for better and committed workers that would give me what I really want.

Within a short time, I have built clients who are always making demands but not available workers to supply them, and I can't drive a truck for God's sake, lol. I am yet to see visible results that would make me say, "Oh yes, this year was worth it indeed," but it's fine. There are plans on the ground to make things look more structured by my husband once he returns before the end of this year.

There is still a little progress even though it doesn’t look glamorous anyways, but in all, I give thanks to God.

Finally on the blockchain here, I couldn't meet up with my HBD savings goals. I tried initially, but family financial responsibilities didn't allow me to make any tangible move, and considering the value of Hive since February, it's been difficult accumulating HBDs as well.

There is still a particular personal growth I couldn't achieve, but hopefully, I will be more disciplined and deliberate to push myself into the woman I desire to become come next year.

This post is in response to the #Hive Learners community prompt on the topic titled, Not Just Yet.
