Hi hivians, greetings from my end, and I do hope we are doing great!
I had a deep reflection today over so many things that has happened around me in the past and therefore came up with this topic; touching lives.
Life has a way of presenting an opportunity to some people. I know a good number of people that are so wealthy and comfortable today just because of the little kindness they were privileged to obtain from others. You might be that person that will change the story of another from bad to good just by your little kindness. It might not necessarily be money per say, it can be information. Information is power, information can transform a person's life. For example, someone informed you about this platform and you have been benefiting from it, had it been the person was Stingy enough about informing you, you may not be here now maybe later anyways. But the point I am trying to make is that we should make every effort to be kind to others no matter how little.
You may be in a position to help others secure a good job; touch those lives! It might be extending a helping hand to the less privileged; touch their lives no matter how small. Some families around you might be going hungry but you have enough, touch their lives! Some people go as far as burning their unused clothes while some doesn't have enough clothes to cover their nakedness, why not give out? There are so many ways we can touch the lives of our fellow humans without breaking our bank account and they will forever be grateful. Many atimes your good deeds now might turn to favour you later in life or your children although God is the ultimate rewarder! The best thing to do while extending a helping hand is to do it without expecting anything in return but if it comes, then it becomes a surprise to us.
Years back when my father was still alive, he sponsored one of my uncle in school according to him. My uncle's father died and he was crying and lamenting over how he will continue his Education, the cry touched my Dad and he approached him, consoled him and promised to continue where his father stopped in his Education, my uncle never expected it, he thought that all hope were lost because there was no money anywhere but my Dad filled that vacuum with his little income then. He continued his education and after few years, he graduated as a mid wife in Nursing school and got a well paid job instantly. It was unfortunate that my Dad didn't stay alive to witness my uncle's new comfortable life. However my uncle remembered the past, he remembered the good deeds my Dad did to him when he was alive and started helping everyone in my family financially. Infact he single handedly sponsored the education of my twin brother and I when my mum couldn't attend to all my siblings financially. You see, the little kindness my Dad did in the past, we the children reaped the reward!
Look around you today and see that person in need, a little token from you can put a smile on his face. Anything atall you think you can give out, touch a life with it! Leaving a good legacy for others to emulate, good name is better than silver or gold.
